Unity

Ephesians 3:1-13 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles. Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. In reading this you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ; which has not been made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit of God’s holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise of Jesus Christ. I became a servant of the gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the workings of his power. Although, I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given to me to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. and to make plain to everyone the administration of the mystery, which for ages past was hidden in God who created all things. His intent was that now through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realm, according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished on Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

Romans 16:25-26 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, buy now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that ALL nations might believe and obey Him.

The Central truth is: The gospel unites us.

1 Corinthians 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles and don’t even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

1 Peter 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven.  Even the angels long to look into these things.

Application:
1. Embrace the mystery that was revealed - the grace of God’s gospel unites us all as fellow heirs.
2.There is no place for prejudice in God’s plan for His church.
3. It is God’s plan that our unity displays His wisdom.

Division dulls our display of God’s grace.
Division distorts God’s design for His church.
Division dilutes our witness to the world and the angelic realm.

Unity recognizes what Jesus has accomplished for all of us.
