Civic Engagement

Our commitment

When Jesus said, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” (Matthew 22:21), He acknowledged civil authority. But then He underscored the obligation of faithful people to insist that governments be just and good, as God is. Grace Chapel's commitment to do its part in faithful civic engagement can be a gift to us all, to the nation, and to the world.

Our ministry focus is to create awareness on civic issues and to persuade others regarding moral issues of concern arising in our community, county, state, and nation.

The Civic Engagement Ministry has two primary goals for 20204:

  1. Build a strong and effective team and ministry within Grace Chapel.
  2. Concisely communicate to interested Grace Chapel family and friends prayer needs as well as action and engagement opportunities for specific local issues of;
        - Protection of the unborn.
        - Protection of children.
        - Being informed of local and national election issues.

There are several ways the Grace Chapel friends and family can become involved.  Please prayerfully consider engaging in one or more of the following:

  1. Monitor local civic activity.
  2. Help promote church civic engagement sponsored events and opportunities.
  3. Pray over local and national issues.
  4. Disseminate church leadership approved literature within our ministry and church body when appropriate.
